Looks like the wind may settle down so we can get out.We have some spots available for this week and weekend.The rockcod have been biting good with limits for everyone on our charter boats.

We had a charter on Berryessa on 7-21-08 we finished the day with 7 kokanee to 17 1/2 and 1 2.5 lb smallmouth bass that hit our trolled salmon gear.

Jake raced sat 19th and sat 26th at cora speedway in Dixon,he won the main events both days and also won 3 out of 4 heat races.We decided to move him up a class for the 08 season now he likes going Faster and wants MORE MOTOR.

Limits of rockcod are being caught on all our charter boat trips.The Lingcod bite has been slow with about a 1 fish per trip average. We did hear of 2 Halibut caught off the Tomales bar over the weekend,and 1 caught south of Bird rock while Rockcod fishing.

We have some spots open on the charter boats for this week and weekend if you would like to go.

For any of you that follow Jakes racing he will be racing at Cora speedway in Dixon this saturday for his first race of the 08 season.We would like to thank Santa Rosa trailer for the help with Jakes new enclosed trailer.

6-25-08 Looks like the weather will be nice for this weekend,so come out and catch soom Rockcod.We have some room this weekend and next week.We also have room on friday for a Lake Berryessa salmon trip.

9 more days until Rockcod opens lets all hope for no wind...We have all the rockcod gear you will need here at the shop,Rigged and single shrimp flies,4,6 and 8 oz leadheads and all colors of scampis,chrome bars in all weights and lots of jigs.

Heard of a few crabs being caught in the outer bay.Leaving today for Lake Berryessa have charters on Friday and Saturday but have Sunday and Monday open.There is a good salmon bite going on now and with a 5 fish limit per angler it makes for a nice trip.Give us a call if you would like to go.

Had charter on Lake Berryessa yesterday,Had a steady bite on Salmon and trout.our end of day score was 8 kings,1 kokanee and a bunch of trout. We have days available if you would like to go. 3 weeks to go for rockcod,we have everything you will need at the shop Leadheads,scampis (all colors),shrimp flies and lots of jigs stop by and check it out.Tight Lines Capt Les

No news from over here,LOTS of wind have not been able to get out.From what I have heard the crab fishing is real slow.Now for the good news,Under a month to go for Rock cod.Also we did our first Lake Berryessa trip on sunday,It was a good bite,we ended up with 8 kings,2 kokanee and 4 nice trout.As the water temp warms up the bite will turn on.The limit is 5 per angler,so if you would like to go give us a call. Not much to report from over here.Heard there maybe some halibut in tomales bay,we are going to see next week.We have 4 spots on a halibut trip on 5-2 out of Berkely and we are planning a trip to Lake Berryessa on 4-29 if you are interested let me know.We are getting ready for the rock cod opener,we will have 3,4,6,and 8oz lead heads,all colors of scampis and single shrimp flies.Will post another report next week. 4-15-08 We had great weather over the weekend for fish fest,lots of people stopped by our booth lots of questions about SALMON,had to tell them the sad but true truth.Still hearing good reports on the halibut in the bay.Hope to have the Samantha Irene down there soon.Have also heard some good reports from Lake Berryessa,we are taking bookings now.We will offer our show special of $480 to charter boat and you can bring up to 6 people.This offer is for Lake Berryessa and is only good for weekdays.You can call and ask about our family and multi-day discounts.If you want to catch salmon this is the lake to go to.There is a 5 fish limit per angler. 4-8-08 Not much to report over here with no salmon fishing,not much going on with the crab fishing either.We have been doing some whale watching there are a few passing by.I was able to go Halibut fishing with Capt Jay from right hook sportfishing and Capt Bob from the Reelentles yesterday,we ended up with 8 fish to 13lbs we were fishing out of Berkley.So it looks like i will be taking the Samantha Irene down there to do so Halibut fishing,if you are interested in going give us a call and we will set it up.We are also taking bookings for our Lake Berryessa Trout and Salmon fishing.

3-26-08 Not much news to report from here,we have been doing some whale watching and will be shark fishing next week.Have been getting some good reports from Lake Berryessa so we will be heading up there soon.This sat the 29th we will be at the west marine store in santa rosa for their flea market.April 4-5-6th we will have a booth at the Santa Rosa sports show and the next weekend we will have a booth at the Fish Fest. Well from what we have heard it does not look good for our salmon season,a final decision will be made in mid April.Looks like the April 5th opener will not happen,we will let you know if we here anything new.

There will be some good morning tides in April so we will be shark fishing.We will also be doing our charters on Lake Berryessa for trout and landlocked salmon(maybe the only place to catch a salmon this year).The good news is rock cod should open on June 1st.

The ocean has calmed down and should stay calm until Sunday. We have four spots available on the Samantha Irene and two on the Calico for the Salmon opener on April 5th. Good tides for this month are on the 11th-13th for a.m. shark trips. Give us a call if you are interested in going. The new shop is up and running and all the renovations are done.
